Flying

Participants in a sacred ceremony are sometimes invited to fly on the back of a winged animal or spirit or even on their own. This flight is not simply to see the sights but to visit people whose expertise and hard work creates objects of otherworldly beauty, which in turn inspires clients to strive with greater dedication in their work.

If, for example, a client is an architect, he or she may be invited to fly over a temple where engineers are designing cities of unimaginable beauty and doing so with great enthusiasm, achieving a mastery beyond anything the client has seen on earth. Clients may also see the world guardian of architecture, an ancient sage, half man, half spirit, and repository of all known architectural knowledge who is just now working on a blueprint for monuments that might well line the streets of heaven.

One fact that many people realize when flying over such scenes is that the spirit beings they see below are giving every iota of effort and love to the task they are working on, be it painting, gymnastics, doctoring, manual labor, teaching, or a thousand other pursuits. Sensing this total dedication helps clients realize the potential of their own skills for reaching a higher order of creation. “Flying over a space where masons were building these regal and perfect towers,” a biologist client told me, “made me want to work harder to do comparatively excellent work in my laboratory.”
